Michael Chopra leaves Twitter after posting a picture of a bag full of money following taunts about his gambling debts.

Ipswich Town striker Michael Chopra has deleted his Twitter account just hours after he had posted a picture of a bag stuffed full of £20 notes.

The 29-year-old, who has had some well-documented gambling problems throughout his career, accompanied the photograph of the cash with a message for his 15,000 followers which read: "Keep tweeting me about being in debt haha love it #cash #skint #lol #lendmeafiver."

His teammate at Ipswich, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, responded on the social networking site by writing: "Michael Chopra Your A Clown."

Soon after, Chopra's profile on the site had been removed.
