Fulham take down Jackson statue

Fulham have begun the removal of the Michael Jackson statue at Craven Cottage following the club's confirmation that it had no place in the Premier League side's future.

The model was put up by the club's former owner Mohamed Al Fayed as a tribute to the American singer, who passed away in 2009.

The statue is expected to be returned to Al Fayed, who was friends with the 'king of pop' and hosted the singer at Craven Cottage in 1999.
