Everton starlet Ciaran O'Loughlin 'in hospital following training-ground brawl'

An Everton Under-18s player is reportedly sent to hospital after an alleged training ground bust-up with a teammate.

Everton Under-18s goalkeeper Ciaran O'Loughlin is reportedly being treated in hospital following an alleged brawl at the club's training ground.

Police have opened an investigation into an alleged assault after O'Loughlin clashed with a teammate at Finch Farm on Monday.

A spokesman told the Liverpool Echo: "A 17-year-old male received injuries to his neck during an argument with an 18-year-old male. He was taken to hospital where he is being treated. The investigation is ongoing."

O'Loughlin joined the Toffees' academy when he was eight years old.
