Police investigate threats to Coventry chief executive

Police were called to Coventry City's training ground after a group of men threatened the club's chief executive.

The Daily Mail reports that Tim Fisher and director of football Steve Waggott were approached by three men when they were leaving the facility earlier this week.

The pair were able to get back inside the ground and contact the authorities before the situation got out of hand.

It is claimed that police have connected the incident to the club's decision to play their home games at Northampton Town's Sixfields Stadium for the next three seasons.
