Piers Morgan slams Cesc Fabregas on Twitter

Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has blasted Cesc Fabregas on Twitter following the news that the Spaniard has signed for Chelsea.

The broadcaster made his feelings on the midfielder's decision to join Stamford Bridge clear in a series of posts on the social network.

Morgan went on to criticise the player over reports that Arsenal turned down the chance to re-sign him because his wage demands were too high.

"I hear [Fabregas's] salary demands were 'obscene'. Hence Arsenal refusing to pick up option. What a 'true Gunner' he turned out to be," he wrote.

He also referenced a Fabregas quote from 2010, in which the former Barcelona man insisted that he would never join Chelsea.
