Frank Lampard inspired by daughters' opinions on children's book

Lampard tests children's book on daughters

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has revealed that his two daughters helped him shape the story of his new children's book.

The 34-year-old, who is father to Luna (aged seven) and Isla (aged five), is due to release the series of books centred around main character Frankie in the near future.

"My eldest, Luna, fell asleep when I first read it to her," Lampard told The Sun. "She was knackered. But the next day she said she wanted to hear the end of the story. That was a relief.

"I read final drafts of the books to them and that was helpful. Stuff I thought they would find funny, they didn't and bits that weren't meant to be funny, they loved."

The story focuses on Frankie and his group of friends, who end up playing football against cowboys and pirates.
