Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was allegedly arrested on suspicion of rape on Sunday morning.
Yesterday evening, reports emerged that the 19-year-old had breached lockdown rules to meet with a woman.
However, according to The Sun, an argument led to an ambulance and police attending the England international's London home, resulting in his arrest.
A police spokesman is said to have told the outlet: "Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 03:53hrs on Sunday, May 17 to a report of an unwell woman.
"When emergency services attended, a woman reported that she was raped. She was taken to hospital. A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of rape. He was released from custody and bailed to return on a date in mid-June."
As it stands, Chelsea have opted against commenting on the incident.
