Celtic striker Anthony Stokes charges with assault causing harm

Celtic striker Anthony Stokes is charged with assault causing harm following an alleged incident at a nightclub in Dublin last summer.

Celtic striker Anthony Stokes has been charged with assault causing harm by Dublin District Court.

The charge is in relation to an incident at a nightclub in his hometown on June 8 when he allegedly assaulted 42-year-old Elvis impersonator Anthony Bradley.

According to PA, 25-year-old Stokes, who made no reply to the charge, has been remanded on bail and ordered to appear before the court on May 29.

The alleged assault is said to have taken place at Buck Whaley's nightclub on Lesson Street.
