Sky reveal first TV fixtures in Football League, Capital One Cup

Sky Sports have revealed the live television fixtures for the opening week of the season in the Football League and Capital One Cup.

The fixture lists were released earlier, and recently-relegated Cardiff City will appear twice on TV in the opening week.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side kick off the season on Friday, August 8 with a league game at Blackburn Rovers before travelling to Coventry City in the League Cup five days later.

On Saturday, Sheffield United and Bristol City play the feature League One game at lunchtime before Fulham travel to Ipswich Town on Saturday evening.

The one and only live game on Sunday sees newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers host relegated Norwich City in the Championship.

On Monday night, Carlisle United entertain beaten Championship playoff finalists Derby County in the Cup.
