Danny Ings's disability project to continue in Burnley, despite striker's exit

Ings's disability project to continue in Burnley

Danny Ings's charitable project aimed to help disabled children will continue to run in Burnley, despite the striker's imminent move to Liverpool.

The 22-year-old has agreed to sign for the Merseyside outfit on a free transfer, which will come into effect on July 1.

Last November, the England Under-21 international set up the Danny Ings Disability Sports Project, which caters for people across Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale.

Despite the forward's decision to leave the area for Liverpool, a Burnley Football Club spokesman has told the Lancashire Telegraph that the project will continue.

"Off the field, Ings also started the self-funded Danny Ings Disability Sports Project during his time with the club," said the spokesman. "The project helps to deliver football coaching to disabled youngsters and those with learning disabilities across Burnley and surrounding areas and will continue to do so."

Ings spent four years playing for the Clarets.
