Legendary Brazilian footballer Pele has revealed that he would like to perform with British boy band One Direction.

The 73-year-old surprised the popstars with a video message during their Sao Paulo concert over the weekend.

According to The Mirror, Pele said: "I admire and love you. I play the guitar and one day we'll play together. Welcome to Brazil again and good luck."

The band were performing at Estadio do Morumbi, which is due to host part of the football tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
