Barcelona star Neymar pictured with swollen 'mumps' face

Barcelona star Neymar has demonstrated the effects of having mumps after his friend posted a photo of the Brazilian's swollen face.

The 23-year-old is expected to be sidelined for a fortnight after contracting the viral infection.

On Instagram, a picture uploaded by Neymar's friend shows that the forward is struggling with the illness as he looks almost unrecognisable.

The new La Liga season gets underway next week.
