Barcelona full-back Martin Montoya insists that claims that he has stolen a wallet from a taxi driver are false.

Barcelona youngster Martin Montoya has been forced to deny that he has stolen a wallet from taxi driver Miguel Collado.

Collado reportedly claimed that the 21-year-old had swiped his wallet when jumping out of the car with his friend after the driver had taken them to the airport.

Montoya responded to the accusations on Twitter by saying: "The accusations coming regarding the theft of a taxi driver's portfolio are totally false."

Montoya has made 13 appearances for the Catalans after being promoted to the senior team last year.
