Video: Lukas Podolski, Per Mertesacker take Samurai sword lessons

Arsenal's German international duo Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski have attempted to soak up some local culture on the club's tour of Asia by taking part in a Samurai Sword demonstration.

Both players donned traditional Samurai warrior suits as a club function in Saitama, before laughing their way through a battle watched by Gunners fans.

Watch both players enjoy a unique introduction to the Far East in the video below, which also briefly features Mikel Arteta wearing a white robe for a lesson in making sushi.
