Former Arsenal star Ian Wright opens up about tough childhood

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright reveals that he still feels angry when he thinks about his "bully" step-father from his childhood.

Former England striker Ian Wright has opened up about growing up with a "bully" of a step-father.

The 50-year-old admits during ITV4 show Ian Wright: Nothing to Something that he still feels angry when thinking about the relationship.

"I could not understand, even with having nothing, how somebody could come in and treat a child like my step-dad treated me," Wright explains.

"It's one of those things where I try not to harbour the anger because even now, I mean, I'm sitting here and I'm just raging."

Wright went on to play at Arsenal for seven years, scoring 128 goals in 221 appearances.
