Arsene Wenger, John Terry make London Underground announcements for Poppy Day

Football figures, including Arsene Wenger and John Terry, will make announcements across the London Underground today in support of Poppy Day.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and Chelsea captain John Terry are among a number of football figures who will be heard at London Underground stations today as part of Poppy Day.

The duo, as well as players Joey Barton, Mikel Arteta and Scott Parker, will make announcements at stations close to their football grounds in aid of the Royal British Legion's annual appeal.

Wenger and Arteta's voices will be heard at Arsenal, Holloway Road and Finsbury Park, while Terry's announcements will be played at Fulham Broadway, Earl's Court and West Brompton.

QPR midfielder Barton and teammate Rob Green have recorded their announcements for stations at White City, Wood Lane and Shepherd's Bush Market, while Parker's support for the Royal British Legion will be heard at Putney Bridge and Parson's Green.
