Arsenal's Mesut Ozil 'dumped by girlfriend Mandy Capristo over the phone'

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil was reportedly dumped by his girlfriend Mandy Capristo over the telephone.

The German World Cup winner, who is currently out of action nursing a knee injury, has been accused by fellow countryman Christian Lell of having an affair with his ex-girlfriend Melanie Rickinger.

According to Bild, after alleged flirty text messages between Ozil and Rickinger came to light, Capristo decided to end her two-year relationship with the footballer over the phone.

Ozil is yet to publicly address the rumours.
