Ellie Watton praises "great team performance"

England hockey forward Ellie Watton says that it took a "great team performance" to beat Malaysia 5-0 at the Commonwealth Games.

England hockey player Ellie Watton has said that it was a "great team performance" from the side to beat Malaysia 5-0 at the Commonwealth Games earlier today.

The forward scored the team's opening goal in the match, which leaves England second in their pool behind Australia, who have played a game more.

The 24-year-old said: "It was a great team performance and great to get some goals behind us, so we're very happy. They were hard to break down to begin with but we kept our focus and once we got a couple of goals, we relaxed and the match started going our way."

England play Australia tomorrow.
