GB's Francesca Jones misses out on spot in final

Team GB's Francesca Jones has failed to qualify for the rhythmic gymnastics final, finishing bottom of the qualifying stage.

Jones recorded an overall score of 94.625 following displays on the balls, hoops, clubs and ribbons, over 14 marks off the final automatic qualifying score.

Russia claimed first and second spots in the qualifying with scores of 116.000 and 114.525 from Evgeniya Kanaeva and Daria Dmitrieva respectively, while Aliya Garajeva of Azerbaijan finished third.

Ganna Rizatdinova of Ukraine picked up the final qualifying spot for tomorrow's final.
