Brinn Bevan scoops pommel horse bronze for Team GB

Great Britain gymnast Brinn Bevan wins a 13th medal of the inaugural European Games for his nation by claiming bronze in the men's pommel horse in Baku.

Brinn Bevan has won bronze for Great Britain in the men's pommel horse event at the European Games.

The 18-year-old, who is competing at his first international senior event, bounced back from his earlier disappointment of finishing 14th in the all-around to claim the third podium spot.

A score of 14.200 was awarded to Bevan at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, which was enough to see him get the better of Russian Federation's David Belyacskiy who recorded 13.900.

Saso Bertoncelj took gold for Slovenia - their first of the Games - while silver was scooped by host nation gymnast Oleg Stepko, to build on his medal success in the all-around event on Thursday afternoon.

Team GB now have 12 medals overall at these inaugural Games, two of which have come in gymnastics events.
