Downie wins uneven bars final

England gymnast Beckie Downie has secured gold in the uneven bars final at the Commonwealth Games this evening.

Downie was one of the first to perform on the apparatus, posting a score of 14.666 to leave her just ahead of Australia's Larrissa Miller.

Wales's Raer Theaker struggled with her routine, coming off the bars twice before abandoning her routine.

Downie's teammate Ruby Harrold was the final gymnast to perform, doing enough to clinch the bronze medal.
