Oleg Stepko wins fifth gymnastics medal of European Games on home soil

Oleg Stepko wins his fifth medal of the 2015 European Games in Baku, as he edges out closest challenger David Belyavskiy to take top spot in the men's parallel bars.

Home favourite Oleg Stepko has rounded off his European Games campaign with gold in the men's parallel bars.

Victory for the Azerbaijani gymnast takes his personal tally up to five medals at Baku 2015, following previous success in the individual all-around, pommel horse, rings and team events.

Stepko scored 15.733 at the National Gymnastics Arena to prevail ahead of the Russian Federation's David Belyavskiy, who himself has enjoyed a successful week at the inaugural Games.

Marius Barbecar finished in third place to take bronze, which is Romania's fifth of the competition.
