Tiger Woods hits second-round 65 at Hero World Challenge

Tiger Woods produces a faultless round of 65 to reach the halfway stage of the Hero World Challenge on six-under-par.

Tiger Woods has recorded a second-round score of 65 at the Hero Golf Challenge as the former world number one continues to show glimpses of his best form.

Woods marked his first appearance in 16 months with an opening-round 73 in Albany as the 40-year-old wasted a start which saw him go four-under-par through his first eight holes.

However, the 14-time Major winner was superb on Friday as he produced some phenomenal shots during a round which included seven birdies and no dropped shots.

The American played on his own after the withdrawal of Justin Rose, but he maintained his focus to put himself into contention at the event he hosts in the Bahamas.

The remainder of the field are still to complete their second round but Woods reached the clubhouse in a share of eighth position after beginning the day in 17th place.
