Tiger Woods finds form with 66 at Greenbrier Classic

Tiger Woods cards a 66 on the opening day of the Greenbrier Classic to sit four strokes behind leader Scott Langley.

Tiger Woods has delivered his best round of the season as the former world number one made a fine start to the Greenbrier Classic.

Despite looking well below his best since returning from a self-inflicted break earlier in the year, the signs were promising for Woods, who finished with three birdies in a row to shoot a four-under-par 66, which is his lowest score since March 2014.

However, Woods remains four strokes behind leader Scott Langley after his fellow American hit 17 greens in regulation on the way to carding a 62 on the opening day.

Jonathan Byrd and Danny Lee are a stroke off the pace, while Ryo Ishikawa and Brian Davis are a shot further back.

Paul Casey, who lost to Bubba Watson in a playoff at last week's Travelers Championship, is currently in a share for 12th place with Woods.
