Paul Lawrie has safely made it through to the second round of his own match play event at Murcar Links Golf Club.
The Scot came up against Frenchman Romain Wattel at the inaugural Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play and advanced 5&4.
Richie Ramsay is favourite to win the event in Aberdeen and progressed thanks to a one-hole win over Shiv Kapur.
Elsewhere, in-form English duo Tyrrell Hatton and Matt Fitzpatrick also claimed victories, defeating Darren Fichardt and Bradley Dredge 4&3 and 6&4 respectively.
