Kang breaks course record at Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Korea's Sung Kang has set a new course record of 60 around the Monterey Peninsula to move into a share of the lead after two rounds of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in California.

The 28-year-old shot a bogey-free round of 11-under-par that included nine birdies and an eagle to share the halfway lead with Japan's Hiroshi Iwata, who made 66 around Pebble Beach.

Americans Phil Mickelson and Chez Reavie, alongside Swede Freddie Jacobson, are one shot back on 10-under.

England's world number seven Justin Rose shot a three-under 68 at Monterey Peninsula to lie two shots off the pace at nine-under, while world number three Jason Day had a 66 around the same course to get within five of the lead.
