Jim Furyk races clear of pack in Ohio

Jim Furyk has carded a four-under-par 66 on day two of the World Golf Championship in Ohio to establish a four-shot lead heading into the weekend.

He managed seven birdies in total to match his first-round score and boost his chances of a second PGA Tour title in 2015, having won the RBC Heritage in April.

The one-time Major winner - a US Open title in 2003 - finished the day on eight-under, four clear of Shane Lowry, Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson in second.

Overnight leader Danny Lee, who shot 65 on Thursday, slipped five shots off the pace after a round of 72 today, with Graeme McDowell and Henrik Stenson joining him on three-under.

Lee Westwood and Justin Rose are two of nine players on two-under, along with Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and Sergio Garcia.
