International Team close gap against USA

The International Team impressed during Friday's four-ball to close down the USA's lead to just a point at the Presidents Cup in South Korea.

The USA took a commanding 4-1 lead after the foursomes round on Thursday, but their opponents bounced back today.

Louis Oosthuizen and Branden Grace managed to overcome world number one Jordan Spieth and Dustin Johnson 4&3 to take a crucial point for the International Team.

Danny Lee and Sangmoon Bae kept up the momentum by finishing 1up over Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker, while Thongchai Jaidee and Charl Schwartzel beat Bill Haas and Chris Kirk 2&1 in the final group of the day.

JB Holmes and Bubba Watson were the only pairing in the USA team to gain a full point as they finished 2up over Marc Leishman and Steven Bowditch, while Zach Johnson and Phil Mickelson halved their game against Jason Day and Adam Scott.

The USA lead 5.5-4.5 after two days.
