Huang Wen-yi takes one-shot lead after Shenzhen International first round

Huang Wen-yi has taken the clubhouse lead at the Shenzhen International after the first round in China courtesy of a six-under 66.

The home contender suffered an early bogey on the fourth hole and then a later dropped shot on the 16th, but eight birdies were enough to give him the edge heading into the second round.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat, Felipe Aguilar, Peter Uihlein and An Byeong Hun are all tied second, one shot off the pace following first-round 67s.

Englishman Matt Ford started strongly by scoring an eagle on the second hole, but he dropped a shot on the 12th and carded just two birdies to leave himself three shots off the lead.
