Jimmy Walker wins maiden PGA Tour title

Jimmy Walker has beaten Vijay Singh by two shots to clinch his first PGA Tour title at the Frys.com Open in San Martin, California.

The 34-year-old from Oklahoma, who turned professional in 2001, shot 66 for his final round at CodeValle GC, which helped him to 17-under-par for the championship.

Singh took two more shots for his round to finish on 15-under, while Kevin Na and Scott Brown both went around in 64 to end up three off the pace, alongside Hideki Matsuyama and overnight leader Brooks Koepka.

Jason Kokrak had started the day two shots back but he shot five bogeys in a two-over round of 73 to fall out of the running for what would have been his first PGA Tour title.

George McNeill also shared second last night but came home even par.
