Justin Rose has defeated Lee Westwood to take control of Group B of the World Golf Final.
Rose and Westwood were teammates less than two weeks ago as Europe retained the Ryder Cup, but Rose continued his impressive form to see off his European compatriot by three shots.
The other match of Group B saw Webb Simpson overcome Hunter Mahan by two shots in their all-American affair.
The pair were level as they walked to the last tee, but Simpson birdied the final hole as Mahan bogeyed to hand the 2012 US Open champion the victory.
