Paraguayan Fabrizio Zanotti triumphs at the BMW International after winning a four-way playoff for the title.

Paraguay's Fabrizio Zanotti has clinched the BMW International Open after winning a four-way playoff for the title in Cologne.

Zanotti, Henrik Stenson, Rafa Cabrera-Bello and Gregory Havret all finished the final round on 19-under-par to force a playoff on another rain-affected day in Germany.

Cabrera-Bello and Havret fell at the second and fourth holes respectively before Zanotti sealed the win when Stenson conceded after failing to make a bunker shot on the fifth.

The victory has seen Zanotti become the first Paraguayan to triumph on the European Tour.

Martin Kaymer of Germany watches his tee shot on the eighth hole during the second round of the 114th U.S. Open at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club, Course No. 2 on June 13, 2014
