Adam Scott moves seven shots clear in Arnold Palmer Invitational

Adam Scott continues his good form at Bay Hill to end round two with a seven-shot lead in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Adam Scott has moved seven shots clear of his rivals in the Arnold Palmer Invitational following another confident display at Bay Hill.

The world number two, who tied the course record with a 62 on Thursday, edged further ahead in Orlando thanks to a round of four-under-par on day two.

Scott recorded four birdies on the back nine and it could have been even better for the Masters champion, but a bogey on the final hole forced him to settle for a round of 68.

Francesco Molinari, JB Holmes and Chesson Hadley are Scott's closest challengers heading into the weekend but they face a battle to reel in the Australian after finishing the day on seven-under.

Five players, including Jamie Donaldson and Keegan Bradley, are a shot further back, while it proved to be a difficult day for Ryo Ishikawa and John Merrick, who dropped down the leaderboard due to rounds of 74.
