Richard McEvoy wins first PGA European Tour title

Englishman Richard McEvoy follows up his Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge triumph with victory in the Porsche European Open in Hamburg.

Richard McEvoy has lifted his maiden PGA European Tour title with victory at the Porsche European Open.

The 39-year-old Englishman, who also won the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge in France seven days ago, sunk a 20-foot putt at the 18th to claim a one-shot triumph.

Renato Paratore, Christofer Blomstrand and Allen John all ended one stroke behind in a tight finish at the Green Eagle Golf Courses in Hamburg.

McEvoy, who started the day in a share of the lead, closed with a round of 73 for an 11-under total, while John's five-under for the day - including six birdies - saw him fall just short.

Bryson DeChambeau, level with McEvoy at the start of the final round, hit four bogies and was three over par on the last hole to finish five off the pace.
