Graeme McDowell clinches RBC Heritage title

Graeme McDowell has beaten Webb Simpson in a playoff to win the RBC Heritage in South Carolina.

The Northern Irishman is the first European to triumph on the PGA Tour this year.

Both players finished the final round two shots ahead of the pack on nine-under-par overall before McDowell held his nerve against the American in the playoff.

Simpson bogeyed the first hole that they played on the 18th, while McDowell made par to lift the trophy.
