Scott Piercy clinches Barbasol Championship win in Alabama

Scott Piercy has won the Barbasol Championship with a three-stroke victory over Will Wilcox in Alabama this morning.

The 36-year-old carded a final-round 65 to finish on 19-under-par for the tournament and clinch his third PGA Tour title - and first in three years.

Piercy, whose last win came at the RBC Canadian Open in July 2012, managed eight birdies in total. He took a share of the lead into the last day along with Ricky Barnes.

Amateur Bobby Shelton shot 67 to finish joint third with Barnes and Whee Kim on 14-under.

Andrew Loupe, Boo Weekley, Austin Cook and Marks Hensby finished one back in fourth.
