World number one Rory McIlroy ended the year by winning the World Tour Championship in Dubai this afternoon.

The Irishman went into today's final round with a share of the lead on 17-under with Luke Donald.
The duo were challenged by Englishman Justin Rose for a while, but McIlroy claimed the title as a result of five straight birdies on the last five holes.
