McDowell clinches French Open title

Graeme McDowell has won the French Open with a four-shot victory over South African Richard Sterne.

The pair shared the overnight lead in Paris, but a round of 67 from the Northern Irishman saw him clinch the title on nine-under-par.

Spain's Eduardo de la Riva and Graeme Storm concluded on four-under, while Storm's fellow Englishman Simon Dyson was a shot further back.

McDowell's last tournament win came back in May with a victory at the Volvo World Match Play Championship in Bulgaria.
