Luiten pips Jimenez to win KLM Open

Dutchman Joost Luiten has won his home tournament, the KLM Open, by edging Miguel Angel Jimenez at the first playoff hole.

Both men finished on 12-under-par at a blustery Kennemer Golf & Country Club in Zandvoort, West of Amsterdam.

Luiten boshed his drive down the middle on the 18th and made par after Jimenez had only managed bogey because of a three-putt following a wayward drive.

Simon Dyson, Gregory Havret, Ross Fisher and Damien McGrane shared third place on nine-under.

Luiten, 27, who won the Lyoness Open in June, has now triumphed on three occasions on the European Tour.
