Levy surges clear at China Open

World number 282 Alexander Levy has moved four shots clear at the halfway point of the China Open.

The Frenchman carded eight birdies and an eagle to record a terrific round of 62 to lead from Spain's Adrian Otaegui.

A round of 66 moved Otaegui ahead of compatriot Alvaro Quiros as the first-round leader dropped down to third on the leaderboard.

Raphael Jacquelin ended Friday's play in fourth, with Mikko Ilonen and Richie Ramsey a shot further adrift in a tie for fifth.

Henrik Stenson, who can become world number one with victory in Asia this week, is 11 shots off the lead.
