Fifteen-year-old Lydia Ko became the youngest ever winner on the Ladies European Tour by claiming the ISPS Handa NZ Women's Open in New Zealand - her home tournament.

Ko sank a three-foot putt on the last hole to claim victory in Christchurch. She has now won three out of 12 professional tournaments.

Ko also becomes the first home winner of the NZ Open, which began in 2009.

She said: "It means a lot and makes it more special to be the first New Zealander to win the Women's Open.

"It is always special to make history. I guess I broke history again."

Ko's other tournament wins came in Canada and New South Wales, Australia.
