Anders Hansen takes French Open lead

Anders Hansen has opened up a one-shot lead on the first day of the French Open.

The Danish player carded an opening round 66 to remain one stroke ahead of France's Romain Wattel, who scored a four-under-par 68 in Paris.

Chile's Felipe Aguilar leads a group of nine players on three-under-par, which includes Scotland's Stephen Gallacher and Englishman Matthew Nixon.

Graeme McDowell posted three birdies and one bogey on his way to a two-under-par 69, where he sits level with England's David Howell.
