Furyk ends four-year wait for title

Jim Furyk has claimed his first PGA Tour title in four years by beating Kevin Kisner in a playoff to win the RBC Heritage.

The former US Open champion fired nine birdies and one bogey on his way to a final round of 63 at Hilton Head.

However, he was joined on 18-under-par for the tournament by Kisner, who sunk a birdie putt at the last to force a sudden-death playoff.

Both players carded a three at the first playoff hole, the 18th, but Furyk ended his four-year wait for a victory by birdieing the par-three 17th.

Third-round leader Troy Merritt finished in third place, two strokes behind, after carding a 69.
