Europe win the Solheim Cup by defeating the USA 15-13 at Killeen Castle in Ireland.

Europe have won the Solheim Cup 15-13 after a dramatic final day at Killeen Castle in Ireland.

The scores were tied at 8-8 going into the final singles matches after a spirited USA fightback on Saturday.

On a rain-disrupted final round, Suzann Pettersen's victory against Michelle Wie swung the match Europe's way, while wins for Catriona Matthew, Sophie Gustafson, Christel Boeljon and Karen Stupples edged the hosts closer to their first win in six years.

The trophy was secured in the final group of matches when Azahara Munoz defeated Angela Stanford.
