Bowditch wins Valero Texas Open

Steven Bowditch has won the Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio.

The 30-year-old clinched his first PGA Tour title by one shot on Sunday.

Bowditch started the fourth and final round of the tournament with a three-shot advantage and emerged victorious with a four-over 76.

The Australian's winning total of eight-under saw him finish a stroke clear of the American duo of Will MacKenzie (70) and Daniel Summerhays (71), who ended tied for second place.

Matt Kuchar and Andrew Loupe finished a shot further back to share the fourth spot on the leaderboard.
