Tiger Woods expects to return to action at Arnold Palmer Invitational

Woods expects to play next week

The agent of Tiger Woods has confirmed that the world number one is intending to play at the Arnold Palmer Invitational next week.

Woods was struggling with a back problem during the final round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship on Sunday but a course of treatment is expected to make sure he will make an appearance at Bay Hill.

"Tiger is continuing to get treatment and get himself in a good place for next week," his agent, Mark Steinberg, revealed in a statement issued to ESPN.

"He intends to be at Bay Hill."

Woods, who will be defending his title at Bay Hill, has played in only four tournaments this year.
