World number three Lee Westwood has made the decision to leave his beloved hometown of Worksop and move to the USA.
The 39-year-old will relocate to Florida on December 27 and he is hoping that the switch will help him win more Major titles.
He said: "People have been asking me how much I want to win a Major for as long as I can remember. But, to be honest, I've been in the mix that often I'd like to win more than one and that is one of the reasons for the move.
"It's fair to say I've grown to love playing in America. It was amazing how much support I had out here [at the US Open in San Francisco] this week.
"I can see us spending the next five to 10 years in America. The rest of the family are really excited about the move."
Westwood finished 10th in this year's US Open.
