Tiger Woods heads the line at Australian Open

Tiger Woods takes the lead with a five-under-par 67 in the second round of the Australian Open.

Tiger Woods is currently top of the leaderboard after completing the second round of the Australian Open.

The American pro has taken the lead with 67 after scoring a five-under-par round, which included seven birdies and two bogeys, to take his overall score to nine-under.

"I played well today," Woods told ESPN. "I could have been a little lower over my first nine holes. I felt like I really didn't miss a shot. Even though I shot five under today, it felt like it easily could have been eight or nine deep.

"It feels good, but it feels good to actually be there playing properly instead of slashing the ball all over the place."

First-round leader Jarrod Lyle slipped down the leader boardtrailing by three, while Nick Watney and Matthew Jones are in the clubhouse with five.

Woods, who has slipped down to 58th in the world rankings, has a one-shot lead.
