Charl Schwartzel opens up five-shot lead ahead of final round in Thailand

Charl Schwartzel will take a five-shot lead into the final round of the Thailand Golf Championship thanks to a third round of 68 at the Amata Spring Country Club.

The South African could not card three successive seven-under-par 65s but did stretch his lead at the penultimate event of the 2012 Asian Tour.

His nearest challenger is Sweden's Daniel Chopra on 13-under, while defending champion Lee Westwood continued to stutter and is now 11 shots adrift of Schwartzel's lead.
