Justin Rose: 'US Open success yet to sink in'

World number four Justin Rose claims that his success at the US Open is still sinking in.

Justin Rose has claimed that his victory in this year's US Open is still sinking in.

The Brit became the first Englishman to win the competition in 43 years when he lifted the title at Merion, and he believes that the achievement is pushing him on to win more.

"Wining a Major, it's still sinking in," Rose told reporters. "It's an amazing feeling and a lot of relief. A lot of great players haven't won a Major and to get that monkey off my back is fantastic.

"It takes off a lot of pressure. As a kid growing up, I always dreamed of winning a Major and it's nice to have that. At this point of my career, it's not time to reminisce; I am motivated to win more."

Roses closes his 2013 season with an appearance in the Thailand Golf Championship this week.
